UPDATE, 12:30PM: Police have arrested a man in relation to a number of alleged assaults in Kennington on Friday and Saturday.
Sergeant Dale Hallinan said the man, who has not been charged, is assisting police with their inquiries in relation to an assault that occurred in Owen Street on Friday evening, where one man was taken hospital with lower body injuries, and a further assault on the same street on Saturday morning.
UPDATE, SATURDAY 9.30AM: Police are investigating an altercation in a Kennington street on Friday evening, where one man was taken hospital with lower body injuries.
Bendigo CIU Detective Senior Constable Jessie Uren urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A crime scene was established in Owen Street, Kennington, at 8pm on Friday following reports of an altercation in the street.
A man was taken to hospital with lower body injuries and has since been released.
UPDATE 11:20pm: Bendigo CIU Detective Senior Constable Jessie Uren said police were called to an address in Owen Street after reports of an altercation in the street.
After the police arrived a male was transported to the Bendigo Hospital with lower body injuries in a stable condition.
The man has since been released from hospital.
Police are conducting enquiries into the matter.

UPDATE 9:02pm: A spokeswoman from Ambulance Victoria said paramedics attended an address in Kennington and transported one man in a stable condition to Bendigo Hospital with lower body injuries.
UPDATE 8:23pm: Another crime scene has now been set up on St Aidans Road, Kennington which is in close proximity to Owen Street.
EARLIER: Police have cordoned off Owen Street in Kennington following an incident.
A crime scene has been created.
The street has been blocked off at each end and there is currently no access.
