The Bendigo City squads have shown improved form, particularly in the under-18 and under-16 age groups.
The under-18s have moved into ninth place on the ladder on the back of a 5-0 thumping of Brunswick City.
Skipper Luke Burns scored a brace, while Callum McAllister, Will Beever and Josh Brown also found the back of the net.
Burns has now scored 14 goals in 10 games to be the second leading scorer in the competition.
Nick Collins scored both of Bendigo’s goals in the under-16s 2-1 win over Brunswick City. Bendigo is also in ninth place on the under-16 ladder.
The under-15s suffered a 7-0 loss to Brunswick City, while the under-14s played out a 1-1 draw thanks to Beau Derby’s goal.
Mac Hilson scored twice to give the under-13s a 2-1 lead, but Brunswick City bounced back to win 4-2.
Saturday’s matches against Ballarat start with the under-16 game at 12.45pm.
The under-14s kick-off at 1pm, with the under-13s, under-15s and under-18s to follow at 2.30pm.
The under-13s and under-15s have a wonderful opportunity to win their first match of the season, while the under-14s and under-18s will start favourites.
