Emergency services were called to Springhill Road, Tylden, about 1.30pm today.
Sergeant Brad Hall, of Macedon Ranges Highway Patrol, said the driver was heading north along Springhill Road when she lost control of the vehicle, failing to negotiate a right-hand bend.
(The placement of the pin below is random and is intended only to locate the road, not the crash scene).
He said the car hit the embankment and rolled a number of times.
“There were no injuries to her or her young child that was in the car, miraculously,” Sergeant Hall said.
Both the 34-year-old woman and the six-year-old child are believed to be from Sunbury.
Sergeant Hall said the road was closed for about an hour as emergency services attended.
Investigations into the crash are still underway.
Sergeant Hall urged anyone with information to contact the Macedon Ranges Highway Patrol at Kyneton Police Station on 5421 2900.
