Last year’s squad upstaged Ballarat at the QEO and coach Jason Stevens has high hopes for the 2018 group.
“We have a good mix of pace, height and skill. The open spaces of Reid Oval will suit our group,” Stevens said.
“The key will be in our ability to win the footy. We have some hard nuts that will crack in and win the contested footy.
“We beat Ballarat last year on the inside. This is a new challenge, but the 2018 group is equally as strong on the inside and has a few more weapons forward of the footy.
“I’m looking forward to getting over there. Hopefully we can start the day well for Bendigo.”
Golden Square’s Zack Shelton will captain the BFNL.
