The memorial will be one of two headline events for the night, with the Goulburn Valley club also hosting the Australian compact speedcar national title.
Clark, who captured his title at Horsham’s Blue Ribbon Speedway in March, will face staunch competition from home club driver and Victorian #2 Daniel Wilson, Ross Burrows and a host of other prominent contenders, including Andrew Ahearn, Shane Simpson, Lucas Conder, Peter Robl, Steve Honeyman and Steve Ellis.
His state title win was the realisation of a more than 20-year dream for Clark, who is based at Maiden Gully.
A 15-driver line-up will include Pollard’s son Teejay, who will be chasing an emotional win.
The field for the compact speedcar national title is headed by a strong contingent of New South Wales drivers, among them Rod Francis, Craig Hickey and Jason Essai.
Allan Pitcher, the Hutchinson boys, Shepparton’s Louis Rodriguez, Justin Paull and Chris Curren will spearhead the Victorian charge.
In support class racing Paul Lamb and Thomas Conboy are the most likely contenders in the open saloons.
Kelly Lamb will be attempting back-to-back wins in the ladies saloons in a tough field that includes Pollard’s daughter Felicity.
In junior sedans, Lachie Fitzpatrick and Tristan McGraw will resume their epic battle.
Racing begins from 4pm on Saturday with entry costs $25 per adult, aged pensioners are $15, children 12 to 16 are $12.50 each and under the age of 12 is free. Family ticket (two adults and two children) is $60.
