Tayla Vlaeminck produced a superb spell to set up victory for the Australian under-19 women’s cricket team in South Africa.

Vlaeminck captured 5-32 as the Australian under-19s defeated the South African Emerging Women by 177 runs.

The Aussie under-19s batted first and made 306, thanks largely to skipper Rachel Trenaman who made 91.

Vlaeminck took over the game with the ball.

The Strathdale-Maristians product tore through the South African line-up with spinner Georgia Wareham (4-17).

Vlaeminck took two wickets lbw and one bowled in her seven overs.

The Aussie under-19s are undefeated on their South African tour and Vlaeminck has played a fine tour from an individual point of view.

In four games on tour, Vlaeminck has taken nine wickets at an average of 12.22.
