Rebecca Stockfield, the current acting director of sustainable development at Mount Alexander Shire Council, will be the general manager of infrastructure assets and planning at Central Goldfields Shire.
The position of general manager of corporate performance will be taken up by Paul Brumby, the current finance manager at Pyrenees Shire Council.
Mallee Family Care’s director of corporate services, Brenton West, will be the council’s general manager of community wellbeing.
Two former general managers decided to pursue other jobs earlier this year when the council made significant changes to the roles following a review of the organisational structure (the third general manager role was, at the time, filled in an acting capacity).
“Our new executive team brings with them extensive skills and experience and will play an integral role in our renewed focus on corporate governance, finance, risk, compliance and building community engagement,” chief executive officer Lucy Roffey said.
The appointment of the new general managers follows the January appointment of Ms Roffey as new CEO.
Ms Roffey filled the role left vacant by Mark Johnston, who is facing 67 criminal charges relating to obtaining financial advantage by deception, and five charges of false accounting for alleged misuse of a corporate credit card.
Three long-term administrators will continue to head up the council following the sacking of all seven councillors last year.
A Local Government Inspectorate investigation found the council had incurred extensive financial losses and revealed there were systemic failures in governance.
The administrators will remain until the 2020 local government elections.
