The Essendon quartet belted the Shepparton Golf team of John Dagger, John Stokes, Col Power and skipper Brad Orr 31-6 over 16 ends in a one-sided final at Bendigo East.
For Burgess, it was back-to-back men’s fours titles after he also won it last year while playing with Bendigo East.
"We got off to a good start… our leader Jordan Yates really set the tone and the boys all followed suit,” said Burgess, who played second.

“The Shepp Golf boys had a bit of trouble finding their weight and lines and we were able to capitalise.”
At one stage the Essendon team led 26-1 as they picked up from where they left off in their semi-final, which was also a comfortable win against Yarraville/Footscray.
Burgess won the state championship on a green he knows well, having previously had a long association with Bendigo East.
“I’ve spent a bit over 20 years playing here, so it's always nice to get that bit of a home green advantage and understand all the little tricks and so forth,” Burgess said.
While the men’s fours final was a whitewash, the women’s triples final was a thriller between Altona and Ovens and Murray.
With one end remaining the Ovens and Murray composite team of Kylie Whitehead, Kerri Leask and skipper Mary Tragardh held a 12-10 lead.
The side was then holding one shot of the final end.
However, in an extraordinary finish, Altona skipper Gayle Edwards picked up three shots with the final bowl of the match to deliver her side, which also featured Shelley Allen and Brooke Edwards, a dramatic 13-12 victory.
Another two titles will be up for grabs on day three of competition on Thursday.
Both the finals of the men’s singles and women’s champion of champions will be played from 1.30pm Thursday.
Kangaroo Flat’s John Berry bowed out of the men’s singles on Wednesday with a 25-16 loss to Webbcona’s Aaron Wood.
