The Braves defeated Waverley Falcons 84-70 in Melbourne on Saturday
Hayley Harrington starred in the win against Waverley with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
A strong all-round efforts included top performances from Shardae Sharp (15 points, 10 rebounds), Danielle O’Toole (12 points, 10 rebounds), Ahlise Hurst (14 points) and Jess Mangan (11 points, 11 rebounds).
A 67-72 loss to Ringwood Hawks in Bendigo on Sunday has the Braves 4-2 after six games.
Meanwhile, a third consecutive loss, this time to Sunbury Jets 54-73, has moved the Braves’ youth league one men’s team to 1-4 for the season.
Samuel Beks had 14 points and 14 rebounds against the Jets, with Aidan Brohm the only other player to register over double points with 12.
The Braves continue their season at 4pm this Saturday against Camberwell Dragons at Bendigo Stadium before an away game on Sunday against Coburg Giants.
The Braves girls play Dandenong Rangers in Dandenong on Saturday at noon.
