Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a driver in Pyramid Hill this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Mitiamo-Kerang Road about 5pm on Saturday after a passing motorist spotted a Ford Falcon to the side of the road.
The male driver was already deceased when they arrived. He is yet to be formally identified.
While details of the crash are not yet known, it is believed the vehicle was travelling north and lost control before veering off the road.

The death bring’s the Victorian road toll for 2017 to 255, 33 less than at the same time last year.
It is the second death on the state’s road today after the body of a motorcyclist was recovered from beside the road in Macarthur, near Warrnambool.
It is not known when he died.
