The 49-year-old Ultima man is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a filing hearing today.
He was arrested in relation to an alleged stabbing at Ultima, near Swan Hill.
Police said the incident occurred at a Gladstone Avenue address shortly before 2am on December 26.
A 39-year-old Ultima man died on arrival at hospital.
