Mildura was hit particularly hard by the storm on Tuesday night and SES members were still attending to jobs on Thursday.
Three volunteers from Bendigo, plus more from Castlemaine and Gisborne, travelled to the town on Tuesday evening, while Bendigos deputy controller, Natalie Stanway, has been acting as divisional commander.
The Bendigo volunteers were there for 24 hours, flying back to Bendigo on Wednesday evening, while a vehicle and storm trailer taken from Bendigo have remained for the use of SES members still working in Mildura.
One of the Bendigo members who travelled to Mildura, Bec Maskell, said it was fairly common for units to help one another out, with SES volunteers from Rochester assisting in Bendigo after the storm.
Units from other parts of the state and even South Australia also helped in Mildura.
Mrs Maskell advised people should secure loose items, such as trampolines, ahead of storms to prevent them being carried away in strong winds, having attended to a few such requests for assistance in Mildura.
