Kirsty and daughter Chelsea are among the entrants for the annual Ladies Race Meeting that will be held at the resurfaced Lithgow Raceway on January 19 and 20.
The event, which has been held since 2007 by the Combined Districts Kart Club, raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Chelsea, who is in her first year of go-kart racing, will compete in the cadet-9 class, while Kirsty will race in the restricted light class.
“It’s a fun sport and it’s good because there are a heap of trophies you can get and you get to race against other people,” seven-year-old Chelsea said this week.
The Lithgow Ladies Race Meeting is Australia’s only all-female karting event and features 11 classes racing for pink plates.

A sausage sizzle will also be held at Long Gully IGA this Saturday, while Chelsea will also raise money through an out-of-uniform day next Tuesday at Big Hill Primary School, where she is in Grade One.
