Thousands of VCE students will receive their final results via a new smartphone app tomorrow, a new method of distribution after last year’s text message debacle.

A joint initiative of the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre and the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, the app will offer students access to their results from 7am on Friday.
The development comes after more than 2000 students last year received an SMS with the news five days before the scheduled release date.
From this year, results can only be accessed online, by app or in the post.
VTAC director Catherine Wills said her organisation was “thrilled” to offer a range of ways to access their ATAR and study scores.
“The key to getting the most out of these choices will be making sure they don’t leave downloading the apps until the last minute, and have current log in details on hand from 7am on Friday,” Mrs Wills said.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
