The kits were created by Harvest Food and Wine co-owner and pastry chef Marsha Busse after a customer inquired about gingerbread houses last year.
Ms Busse said decorating gingerbread houses wasn’t really her thing.
“I can make you all the parts,” she told the customer.
She realised she was onto something as she was packaging the pieces to fill that order.
“To buy a pre-made gingerbread [house] – where’s the fun in that?” Ms Busse said.
In addition to benefiting the Bendigo eatery, $15 from the sale of each $45 gingerbread house will be donated to Haven; Home, Safe.
Orders close on December 15 and can be made via the Haven; Home, Safe website.
Ms Busse recommended people let the house set overnight before decorating.
