With several key players unavailable for selection because of work commitments, Walsh and his selectors have gone with a blend of youth and experience.
Golden Square’s Zane Keighran and Sandhurst’s Todd Murphy still qualify for under-18 cricket in the BDCA, but their great form at first XI level has been rewarded.
Kangaroo Flat teenager Dylan Klemm also earned his first selection in the senior country week squad after some fine performances with the ball for the Roos.
Country Week regulars Sam Johnston, Ben DeAraugo, Linton Jacobs, and Adam Burns return alongside in-form Bendigo duo Shane Koop and Kyle Humphrys.
The squad will have its first training session at Canterbury Park in Eaglehawk on Wednesday night from 6pm.
