Crone had figures of 3-20 off his four overs in the Stars’ total of 8-141 off 20 overs.
He took the wickets of Rob Quiney (6), Marcus Stoinis (55) and James Faulkner (22).
The Stars won the match by four runs in a thrilling finish. Tim Ludeman top scored for the Renegades with 48.
