A MAN is believed to have produced a knife during an altercation at a Bendigo shopping centre.

Sergeant Mick McCrann, of Bendigo Highway Patrol, said two men became involved in a physical and verbal altercation at Kmart in Lansell Square about 3pm on Wednesday.
One of the men was thought to have brandished a knife.
A man was arrested at the nearby NQR store in relation to the incident and released pending further inquiries.
Police investigations into the altercation are ongoing.
Sergeant McCrann said there were no injuries.
He asked that anyone who might have witnessed the incident call the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300.
