Held at 6pm, two thousands students, staff and parents from Girton Grammar School attend their annual Service of Carols at six different churches around Bendigo. More than 1000 gifts will be left at the church altars and under Christmas trees and donated to St Vincent de Paul, St Luke’s, Bendigo Baptist Community Care and Bendigo Uniting Church Outreach Appeal.
Churches include Forest Street Uniting Church, Forest Street; St Andrew’s Uniting Church, Myers Street; Bendigo Baptist Church, MacIvor Highway, Junortoun; St Pauls Cathedral, Myers Street; Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Keck Street, Flora Hill; St Killian’s Catholic Church, McCrae Street.

Epsom Community Carols Festival
The Epsom Christmas carols were rescheduled due to weather. They will now take place from 5pm at the Bendigo Botanic Gardens. Hosted by the Epsom Community Church, your invited to a night of games and activities, carol singing and of course a visit from Santa!

Polyphonic Voices at St Paul’s
Renowned Melbourne based choir, Polyphonic Voices are returning to Bendigo for a recital entitled “Deck the Halls”. The performance commences at 6pm and will be followed by drinks and seasonal nibbles.
Sunday, December 10
Eaglehawk UFS Dispensary Canterbury Carols
Bring your own seating or rug and join in the festivities at Canterbury Park from 6pm. Sing along to some great classics, such as Silent Night, O Come All Ye Faithful and welcome Santa with a rousing Jingle Bells. This free event sees performers such as local school choirs, Sing Australia Choir, Eaglehawk Citizens’ Brass Band, Our Place Minstrels, plus guest artists. If it’s raining on the night, Carols will be held in the nearby Peter Krenz Leisure Centre in Napier Street.
Carols in the Cathedral
Enjoy an evening of entertaining Christmas cheer in one of Bendigo's most iconic buildings - the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Hosted by Bendigo's Marist Brass Band, compèred by Mr Jonathan Ridnell, and with performances by the Marist Academy of Brass, the Marist Development Group, the Marist College Choir, the Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir and more. All donations from the Carols in the Cathedral event go directly to Marist Brass, and will assist in running youth development programs.
Axedale Community Christmas Carols
Join in with community Christmas carols performed by the local kinder, primary school and choir! Other activities include gymnastic demonstration, face painting and a jumping castle. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Hosted by Axedale Our Town, Our Future, this free event starts at 5.30pm at Axedale Park, High Street, Axedale.
Bendigo Chamber Choir & Orchestra
Come and join Bendigo Chamber Choir and Orchestra for Come Sing Christmas at Bendigo Town Hall from 4pm. Directed by Michael Bottomley, the program includes Mozart’s Coronation Mass, J.S. Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, Vivaldi’s Gloria and audience carols. Tickets are $25.

Strathfieldsaye Christmas Carols
Hosted by the Strathfieldsaye Community Church, people are invited to gather, enjoy local artists and school children perform songs that echo traditions of Christmas. Starting at 7pm, this free event will be held at JG Edwards Oval, Uxbridge Street, Strathfieldsaye with performances from Strathfieldsaye Primary School, Eppalock Primary School, St Francis in the Fields Catholic Primary School, Bendigo Senior Secondary College and Bendigo Youth Brass Band.

Heathcote Christmas Carols
Christmas carols for the whole family to enjoy!. Starting from 7pm at Barrack Reserve, High Street, Heathcote, there are sure to be plenty of songs to sing and heaps of fun to be had. This is a free event.

Rotary Club of Bendigo Carols by Candlelight
Kicking off at 6.30pm in Rosalind Park, families can enjoy a night of Christmas carols, proudly brought to you by the Rotary Club of Bendigo. With a huge amount of performers ready to entertain, this event will cost people a gold-coin donation.

Apollo Chorus Christmas Recital
Apollo Chorus will present an evening of fine choral music from 8.30pm. Tickets are $20 and include a complimentary glass of wine and seasonal nibbles upon arrival. Performances will also be held on December 20 and 21.
Saturday, December 23
Bendigo Kids Christmas Concert
This a child-friendly Christmas event is the perfect way to celebrate the festive season, and a very special opportunity to see Santa. All proceeds raised go to Bendigo Health Foundation Christmas Appeal. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Presented by Bendigo Theatre Company, Win Network, Bendigo Stadium and The Hindsight Club.

Early Fireworks
It’s time to farewell 2017. Watch the sky light up with colour as Bendigo’s annual midnight Firework display erupts of the Rosalind Park Poppet Head. Bendigo residents will be able to enjoy their New Year’s Eve with a fireworks display for families at 9.15pm in Rosalind Park. This is a free event.
Midnight Fireworks
Welcome in the new year with a midnight fireworks display in Rosalind Park. This popular event can be seen (and heard) right across Bendigo. This is a free event.
