SOUTH Bendigo scored a 20-game win against Spring Gully Strath Eppalock Butterflies in Friday night’s eighth round in the Bendigo Tennis Association’s premier league action.

It was eight in a row as South Bendigo won four of six rubbers under lights at the William Loud complex in Nolan Street.
Highs for the reigning premier included a 6-4 6-2 victory by Jordan Hicks against Matt Hartland.
Grant Leader and Mick Mulgrew won against Danielle Bowles and Jacob Grieves respectively.
Butterflies’ veteran Jamie Brown won a hard-fought contest with Connor Gledhill, 4-6 6-2 10-7.
Hartland and Brown teamed up for a 4-6 6-2 10-5 win against Hicks and Gledhill, but Leader and Mulgrew played brilliantly in a 6-1 6-1 victory against Bowles and Grieves.
BTC Growl Weightlifting flexed its muscles in an 18-game win against Spring Gully Words and Pictures Photography.
The Weightlifting line-up won five rubbers in an 11-68 to 3-50 victory.
Highs included a 6-3 6-2 win by Baxter Symons against Jayden Baber, and a 7-5 6-4 win by Sam Storer against Rob Gallagher.
Sole rubber for Words and Pictures was the 6-3 4-6 10-4 win by Epps and S. Hardingham against Storer and Clark.
Taipans beat Cobras in the all-BTC match by six games.
A great battle ended in a 4-8-58 to 2-6-52 result for Taipans.
Cameron Lilburn, Ryan Brook and Dominic Barton won their singles rubbers.
Jono Guy played well to Taipans’ number one Ryan Michell, 6-3 6-4.
In the doubles, Jono Guy teamed with Frank Ryan for a 6-2 7-5 win against Michell and Barton.
Lilburn and Brook outplayed Rashelle Blencowe and Heather Robbins, 6-1 6-2.
The Strathfieldsaye and Castlemaine clash was highlighted by the showdown between two of the region’s best, Aidan Fitzgerald and Isaac Watson.
It was Strath star, Fitzgerald who won 6-2 6-3, and led off a 4-8-60 to 2-5-42 victory.
Casey Fleming played well in a 10-4 tiebreaker against Helen Kaptein, while Nathan Mitchell and David Carre triumphed for Castlemaine against Lachlan Perdon and Tova Penno.
