REIGNING premier Bendigo remains winless after enduring another one-shot defeat for the second game in a row in BBD pennant on Saturday.

This time it was against Inglewood, which snapped its three-game losing streak with a 90-89 victory.
Inglewood fought its way back from 15 shots down at the break to level the scores at 89-all with one end left to be fought out between Mal McLean and Bendigo’s Ian Ross.
McLean drew one shot on the final end to secure the victory for the Woods, while for Bendigo, the one-shot defeat followed its 79-78 loss to Eaglehawk the previous round.
All three rinks were decided by three shots or less, with both teams winning two apiece.

• Kangaroo Flat is now on its best winning streak since 2009-10 after inflicting South Bendigo’s first loss of the season.
That Flat’s season of improvement continued with its fourth win in a row as it defeated South 100-88.
The game featured three blowout results of at least 14 shots.
The rink of Kangaroo Flat’s Tom Russell powered to a 33-9 demolition of Ryan Tainton, while South’s Brad Holland had a commanding 33-14 victory over Paul Moller in a clash of two former Bendigo East premiership team-mates.

Backing up from his win in the Victorian Open men’s singles on Friday night, it was a tough day for South Bendigo skipper Mitch Sidebottom, with his rink going down 30-16 to Cameron Wilson.
• Eaglehawk is now the only undefeated team after it improved to 5-0 with a 90-86 victory over Bendigo East.
With the three other rinks decided by two shots or less, Dean Carter’s 24-18 victory over Sam Lyon was decisive in tipping the result Eaglehawk’s way.
The Hawks are now 13 points clear on top.
• Capping a round where the four winners were all the away teams, Golden Square notched its second win of the season with a 106-85 victory over Castlemaine.
Square’s win was set up by strong performances by the rinks of Trevor Schill (+15) and Tas Wallis (+11).
