This year is the eighth time the not-for-profit group has held its homebrew competition.
Brewers will compete in four categories – best overall beer, true to style beer, most unique brew and people’s choice.
For the brewer judged the best overall, Cornella Real Brewery will brew a batch of the winning beer to be sold on tap at Goldmines Hotel.
Bendigo Beer will also give the winner $500 to put towards beer education.
Winners of the most unique and people’s choice awards will receive a supply of beer and merchandise donated by Brooke’s Beer, Old Wives Ales and Bandicoot Brewing. The true-to-style winner will go home with a product pack from Bendigo Malt and Hops.
Beer lovers are encouraged to come along to Goldmines Hotel on Sunday from noon to taste the beers and vote for the people’s choice award. Tickets are $20 on the door or available from https://tinyurl.com/BB-HomeBrew
