Spirit coach Simon Pritchard indicated Betnijah Laney would return to the starting line-up, as would Gabe Richards for the clash with the defending-champions at the Bendigo Stadium.

It will be the Spirit’s first match since confirmation earlier this week captain and star player Kelsey Griffin requires season-ending hip surgery.
“The obvious move is to bring Gabe back into the starting line-up, and then because of the match-ups to start the game, the defensive job we’ll need to do on Asia Taylor means we’ll need to bring Betnijah Laney back in to start as well,” Spirit coach Simon Pritchard said.
“There will be quite a bit of shuffling in terms of the way we’ve been playing because we have a player coming back from injury (Laney) and a player going out with injury (Griffin).”
Thursday’s game between Bendigo (2-5) and Sydney Uni (6-2) starts at 7pm.
