Bendigo United’s Jack Bouwmeester and Bendigo’s James Ryan have been selected in the Victoria Country under-19 team, while Sandhurst’s Todd Murphy will play in the Cricket Australia under-17 team.
Bouwmeester and Ryan are playing for Carlton and Essendon respectively in Victorian Premier Cricket.
Bouwmeester, who missed the majority of last summer because of a back injury, has opened the bowling for Carlton’s second XI in the first five one-day matches of the season.
Ryan has played a mixture of first and second XI matches for the Bombers. His top score this season is 54 in the second XI in round one.
Murphy, from Moama, is playing his first season in the BDCA with the Dragons where his top-order batting and off-spinners have impressed.
