Forest Fire Management Victoria and CFA will undertake planned burning in Rushworth and St Arnaud on Monday, and Newstead and Maryborough on Tuesday, weather permitting.
Smoke may also be visible from Muckleford and Carisbrook.
The burns should be completed between 10am and 8pm on Tuesday but residents may see smoke until Friday, October 27.
Monday:
- Rushworth-Muhlans Rd: Fuel reduction burn, 41ha, 1 kilometre north east of Rushworth
- St Arnaud-Sebastopol Hill: Fuel reduction burn, 33ha, 2.5 kilometres north of St Arnaud
Tuesday:
- Newstead-Woods Rd: Fuel reduction burn, 10ha in Newstead township
- Maryborough-Black Jacks Track: Fuel reduction burn, 179ha 4 kilometres north of Maryborough
