Now in its sixth year, the Robyn Hookes Shield match features the DonateLife Everyday Heroes playing the Lucky Stars Australia Transplant cricket team.
The underlying message of Sunday’s cricket game is highlighting the importance of discussing with loved ones the issue of organ and tissue donation.
Hastings will captain the DonateLife Everyday Heroes, with the team to include his Big Bash League Stars’ team-mate Rob Quiney, along with former Carlton footballer Lance Whitnall.
Both Hastings and Quiney have played Test cricket for Australia.
The Lucky Stars side will feature leg-spinner James Muirhead of the Perth Scorchers and paceman Jake Reed from the Hobart Hurricanes.
Sunday’s Robyn Hookes Shield match begins at 10am and the day will include children’s entertainment.
