Ahead of the start of the 2017-18 BBD pennant season, the Addy has taken a look back over the past 12 years to compile a list of the top 50 skippers who have won the most games.
The numbers go back to the 2005-06 season and include a field of 97 players, with Bendigo’s Ross coming out on top with 104 wins from 160 games skipped.

Ross – who has skipped in 11 of the 12 seasons – is the only skipper to have won at least 100 games.
Second on the list is Marc Smith, who has won 94 of his 151 games at Bendigo East and Golden Square.
Smith narrowly edges out Eaglehawk’s Phil Godkin (93 wins from 151 games).
While Ross has won the most games as skipper, former Bendigo East and Strathfieldsaye skip Peter Loe (30 wins from 43 games) has the best winning percentage of at least 40 games skipped with 69.8%.
