The project includes the construction of a new overpass with a disability access lift at the northern end of Bendigo station, an updated waiting room and toilets, and improved traffic management.
At Eaglehawk, 60 new car spaces will be created on Hall Street with a new drop-off area. VicTrack will also construct new platform shelters and an extended platform, smoother pedestrian crossing and an enclosed bike parking area.
VicTrack staff will be gauging the public’s opinion on the projects at Eaglehawk Railways Station from 5pm to 7.30pm this evening.
They were at Bendigo station on Wednesday evening. The public can still have their say on the designs by visiting victrack.com.au.
The projects are expected to be complete by early 2019.
It is the first time the two stations have seen upgrades in several decades.
