And just as they did last year, the Storm won the flag at the expense of Sandhurst.
The Storm were never headed in the grand final as they won 9.12 (66) to 5.4 (34) – the 32-point margin the same as what their senior side were later victorious by.
Strathfieldsaye’s under-18 win kickstarted the Storm becoming the first BFNL club since Gisborne in 2002 to win all three premierships.
“The boys were awesome today,” Storm coach Bart Leahy said.
“We couldn’t have played any better. Their pressure was unbelievable and their defensive work behind the ball was outstanding.”
The two best-on-ground medals were both won by Strathfieldsaye players.
Wade Donnan was awarded the Rod Ashman Medal and Hunter Lawrence earned the AFL Victoria Country Medal.
Caleb Sheahan kicked three goals for the Storm, who in their 2015, 2016 and 2017 premiership years have won 55 of 60 games.
Oscar Perez kicked four of Sandhurst’s five goals.
