THE predicted strong winds have arrived in Bendigo, bringing down powerlines and branches across the suburbs.
Three power poles on Napier Street, White Hills, have been brought down in the strong wind, dragging down powerlines and cutting off power in the area.
A power pole came close to falling on a house when a nearby branch fell across the power lines.
Police and fire crews are directing traffic through the area near Weeroona College.
Powercor is reporting that 78 premises in White Hills are without power. The outages have been contained to the local area.
The SES is also responding to a fallen branch in Junortoun.
