Roberts was a key figure in the Victorian team, which clinched a silver medal at the August 19-25 championships in Mandurah.
He was one of three Bendigo Academy of Sport athletes represented in Western Australia.
Lauren Cox was part of the girls’ team which also won silver, beaten three sets to two and 12-15 in the fifth, in the gold medal match against powerhouse Queensland.
Bailey Keck featured alongside Roberts in the boys’ team, which lost its grand final match 3-0 to Queensland.
BAS head coach Todd Broadbent, who coached the boys’ team, said Roberts’ All-Australian selection was well deserved.
“Lewis played very well throughout the tournament as a setter and deserved his position in the All Australian team,” he said.
“Both Lauren and Bailey also did an outstanding job throughout the championships and represented Victoria and BAS very well.”
The BAS was also well represented in the coaching ranks, with Mark Jensen an assistant coach to Broadbent, Gel Klein-Boonschate the boys’ team manager, and Scott Ross as coach of the girls’ team.
