The Phantoms bowed out of the premiership race following a 3-1 preliminary final loss to Bluebelles Volleyball Club last Saturday.
It was a somewhat disappointing end to the season after the Phantoms qualified for the finals in second place with 11 wins and three losses.
They lost their opening final to top side Melbourne University Renegades, who will play Bluebelles in this Saturday's grand final at the State Volleyball Centre.
The reserves women's team was one of two to qualify for finals this season for the Phantoms, with the division three women's team losing to Dandenong in the first week of finals.
The Phantoms are a State Volleyball League club based in country Victoria, whose players are drawn from the Bendigo, Ballarat, Horsham, Mildura and Warrnambool associations.
