The Phantoms will play the Melbourne University Renegades, with the winner to advance to the grand final.
The loser will play the winner of the other semi-final involving Monash University and Bluebelles Volleyball Club in a cut-throat preliminary final the following week.
Melbourne University finished the regular season in top spot with a 12-2 win-loss record and defeated the Phantoms (11-3) in their final minor round clash 3-1 on July 22.
The reserves women’s side was one of two Phantoms teams to qualify for finals in the 2017 season, along with the division three women.
