Trees to be cut back in August
Mount Alexander Shire will prune trees in Baringhup, Chewton, Elphinstone, Fryerstown, Guildford, Harcourt, Taradale and eastern Castlemaine during August.

Works will remove dead wood from trees on public property and maintain appropriate clearances from roads, footpaths, street lights and signs. It is in addition to annual tree pruning around power lines. The pruning will only target trees that need it and efforts will be made to retain tree shape and character while ensuring safety and clearance standards.
