The Phantoms set up a thrilling conclusion to the regular season with a three sets to one win over Mazenod at Bendigo Stadium last Saturday.
They won 25-15, 25-12, 20-25, 25-21, to move to 32 points on the ladder, with eight wins from 15 games.
The Phantoms will require a win and a loss to Yarra Ranges (also on 32 points) loss to second-placed Melbourne University to guarantee a finals berth.
Meanwhile, Phantoms' reserves women's team had a three sets to one win over Eastside Hawks and remains second on the ladder, but level on points with top side Melbourne University Renegades, going into the final round.
In division two men's action, Phantoms defeated Mazenod 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-8).
Phantoms's division three men continued the winning momentum, scoring a 3-1 victory over Croydon 36ers to be fifth on the ladder.
In division three women's, Phantom defeated Croydon 36ers 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-8).
