NINE central Victorian hockey players and one coach will represent Victoria at the Australian Country Championships in Townsville in August.
They are Zach Lahn (CV Blazers/Strathdale), Brioni Lahn (Strathdale/Essendon, Craig Conn (Loddon Murray/West Vic), Tracey Johnson (CV Blazers), Kari Gulson (CV Blazers/Echuca), Merryn Coffey (CV Blazers/SYC), Kirsty Rout (CV Blazers), Jayden Gulson (Echuca/West Vic), Jessie Nixon (CV Blazers/Strathdale).
Nixon was one of the stars of Strathdale's weekend win in the Regional Hockey League grand final against Shepparton Strikers and is making her Victoria Country debut at the championships.
Zach Lahn and Craig Conn are making their fifth trip to the Australian Country Championships, while Brioni Lahn and Tracey Johnson will be making their fourth appearance.
CV Blazers women's and Echuca coach Mick Gulson has been named as an assistant coach for the men's side.
