The one-goal result followed Leitchville’s two-goal win over the Blues in their previous encounter this season.
Mounts are fourth on 24 points, while Leitchville has lost three of its past four matches to slip to fifth on 20 points.
The Bombers are only in the top five on percentage ahead of Lockington-Bamawm United.
The Cats put the pressure on the Bombers after they defeated Heathcote 50-35 on Saturday.
Second-placed White Hills held off the improving Huntly to win by six goals.
The Demons did enough to win 38-32, but the result would give the third-placed Hawks confidence that they can be competitive with White Hills should they meet in the finals.
Flag favourites Colbinabbin made it 11 wins from as many games, with a dominant defensive performance against Elmore.
The Grasshoppers restricted the Bloods to just nine goals for the game and piled on 54 of their own. Elmore’s score was the lowest total in A-grade action this season.
The highlight of next round will be the game between Huntly and Lockington-Bamawm United. The Cats need a top-five scalp to prove they’re worthy finals contenders.
