A STANDOUT game from young gun Jess Rennie has helped the Bendigo Lady Braves to a powerful win over the Frankston Blues and a share of the SEABL south conference ladder lead.

Rennie scored a SEABL career-high 19 points as the Lady Braved defeated Frankston by 23 points.
Her performance was not the only encouraging sign for coach Jonathan Goodman, who had four of his players score in double figures and welcomed the return of one of the team's stars in Carlie Smith.
"We didn't have anyone play 30 minutes, I think two or three played in the twenties, it was just a real great contribution from everyone," he said.
"That last two games have shown just how deep we are."
Kelly Wilson scored 16 points to complement her seven assists. while Chloe Bibby (14 points) and Chante Black (11) were strong on the boards, combining for 16 rebounds in a team total of 42.
Goodman said he was rapt for Rennie, who went five from nine from the three-point line against the Blues.
"She shot the ball extremely well and took her opportunities," he said.
"She came in and had a turnover early, but the next time she came in she redeemed herself and was really assertive and played some great defence.
"She hit down some really big shots."
The Lady Braves moved their record to 11-4, equal with the Dandenong Rangers.
The top-pair meet in Dandenong next weekend, with the Lady Braves looking for a repeat of their opening round win over the Rangers to claim outright leadership on the ladder.
