Sharp’s five-goal haul against South Bendigo at the QEO on Saturday gave him a season tally of 53 goals after eight rounds.
Kyneton’s Ben Weightman kicked four goals against Golden Square to retain second spot on 43 goals.
Eaglehawk’s Matt Gretgrix closed the gap between second and third to 11 goals after he bagged seven majors against Castlemaine to take his season tally to 32.
South Bendigo’s Kaiden Antoniwcz remains in fourth place despite not playing for three weeks because of a broken ankle. Antonowicz had kicked 29 goals in five games.
Kyneton’s Mitch Scholard is fifth with 24 goals.
