Trained by Rod Symons, Savannah Moon ($5) was aided by a great ride by apprentice Lachlan King to hit the front in the shadow of the posts and defeat Baby Jack ($26) and Tintaglia ($11).
The six-year-old mare has seven career wins and 10 placings from 53 starts and prize money earnings of just under $230,000.
“There was plans to send her to the breeding barn, but hopefully we’ll get to keep her for a few more runs yet,’’ an elated Symons said.
The victory continued Savannah Moon’s stunning record at the Swan Hill Cup carnival.
The mare has raced at the Cup carnival three times for three wins.
Her streak started in 2014 when she won a 1600m benchmark 64 event.
She returned in 2016 to win a benchmark 64 over 2100m before making it three wins from three attempts on Sunday.
Savannah Moon, which is part-owned by Bendigo Jockey Club chair Margot Falconer, took eight starts to break her maiden status, but since then she has been a model of consistency for connections.
Savannah Moon is a city winner at Flemington, been placed at city level and she ran in the 2015 Jayco Bendigo Cup.
