Thieves made off with a blue motorised scooter from a Bendigo Crescent address in Flora Hill; and a tool box from the back of a ute in Atherton Street, Huntly.
Four vehicles also had number plates stolen in Long Gully, Kangaroo Flat, California Gully and Bendigo.
Sergeant Luke Kinder said even though the thefts weren’t from inside vehicles, it was still important for people to lock their cars.
“It’s still a reminder for people to make sure they secure their vehicles and don’t leave valuables unattended,” he said.
Police are also investigating a theft of a mountain bike from outside the Bendigo Library last week.
Sergeant Kinder said the distinctive red and black Focus branded bike was worth about $3000.
It was left secured outside the library on Wednesday and was stolen sometime between 9.30am and 10.45am.
Anyone with information about any of the thefts is asked to contact the Bendigo station on 5448 1300, Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
