Sunshine Bendigo collects goods suitable for babies up to one year of age, including clothing, bedding, prams and cots, to give to those in need.
Glenda Serpell started the organisation after seeing a need for such a service in Bendigo.
“I guess as mothers, and just as women, we care about other women, we care about families, we care about those doing it tough,” Mrs Serpell said.
To connect with those in need, Sunshine Bendigo connects with several other organisations, including health and community services, women’s refuges and government agencies.
People can make donations at the Long Gully Uniting Church hall Tuesday to Thursday, between 10am and 4pm.
The group is also looking for more volunteers to help sort, clean and distribute goods, and can be contacted on 0448 356 714.
