Kilsyth Cobras' Maddie Garrick earned the nod after a stellar performance in the Cobras' 81-64 win over Hobart Chargers.
Garrick, a two-time WNBL championship player with the Spirit, scored 28 points on 10-18 shooting.
Her haul included five three-pointers and added to an impressive 12 rebounds and three assists.
The award could easily have gone the way of Lady Braves newcomer Bibby, who had 27 points and nine rebounds in last Sunday's 80-70 win over Ballarat Rush.
The 18-year-old scored 15 points and had seven rebounds in the previous night's win over Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence.
It capped a big few days for Bibby, who will head to the Mississippi State later this year to play four years of US college basketball, after her selection in the Australian Gems under-19 training squad for this year's world championships.
Lady Braves coach Jonathon Goodman was full of admiration for Bibby's performances as the weekend.
"Her effort at the defensive end has been a real strength and that has probably been a criticism in the past," he said.
"But she's been great for us especially in the past two games."
Bibby tops the averages for Bendigo in both points per game (19.3) and rebounds (8.3).
The Lady Braves lead the south conference with a 5-1 record ahead of a weekend road double against Launceston and Hobart.
The team has scored one player of the week nomination this season, with fellow recruit Carlie Smith securing the honours in week one against Dandenong.
