PYRAMID Hill has capped some impressive recent form with a huge win against Marong in LVFNL A-grade netball.

The Bulldogs, with shooters Zoe Kennedy and Jess Holdstock in scintillating touch, and Emily Prout and Gemma Scott controlling the midcourt, defeated the Panthers 84-26.

Deb Forster's side had played well without winning in narrow losses to Newbridge and Bridgewater, but certainly hit its straps against Marong.

The Bulldogs host Bears Lagoon Serpentine, which is coming off a bye, next weekend.

In other LVFNL games, Mitiamo is the only undefeated side after three rounds courtesy of a 50-42 win over Bridgewater.

The Superoos were pushed all the way by the Mean Machine, who sit at 2-1 ahead of next week's clash against Inglewood.

Newbridge bounced back from a defeat against Mitiamo with a 63-34 win over Inglewood at Riverside Park.

In the only Good Friday game played, Calivil United defeated Maiden Gully YCW in 33-29.


In the only BFNL game played today, Sandhurst defeated Strathfieldsaye.

It was a successful day for the Dragons on the netball court, also getting wins in A-reserve and 17-and-under.

The A-grade win was the first under new coaches Heather Oliver and Tamara Gilchrist.

In Good Friday games, Golden Square defeated Kangaroo Flat, Gisborne beat Kyneton, Eaglehawk impressed in a win over South Bendigo, and Maryborough defeated Castlemaine.


New Huntly coach Emily Eliades' career with the Hawks is off to a winning start.
