The Good Friday clash at Calivil coincided with a celebration of respective 300 game milestones for club stalwarts Jeannie Wagner and Nicky Lawry.
The Demons advanced their season record to 2-1 in defeating an Eagles team which was looking to build on their impressive round one win over Inglewood.
It was Calivil United’s second straight win after it lost its season opener to Mitiamo.
It was a memorable occasion for Wagner, who played a full game in A-grade and also a quarter in B-grade alongside Lawry, who sadly suffered a calf injury during the game.
The Eagles won in B-grade.
