Staff organised the parade to bring a little bit of Sunday’s main event to residents at the Uniting AgeWell community who were unable to attend the annual Easter parade in Bendigo.
The parade, complete with ‘shoe box’ floats, was led by one of the Strath-Haven residents.
Uniting AgeWell leisure and lifestyle coordinator Kerryn Anderson said some of the floats had been joint efforts between residents, staff or volunteers and their grandchildren.
“Families have been able to come together to create something for the parade, and everyone has enjoyed the opportunity to get creative,” she said.
