The athletes toured the Golden Dragon Museum taking in Sun Loong, the jade carriage and Sun Loong’s predecessors Loong.
Geelong BMX rider Andrew Ahumada said while he had visited Bendigo on many occasions, he had never been inside the museum.
“I’ve got a few friends in Bendigo including the guys the run the shop in Eaglehawk,” he said.
“Having never been here before I’m very keen to have a look. I had a good wander in the outside garden area as well.”
The riders’ visit to the museum was suggested by Vicki Coombes who won the Bendigo Advertiser’s Nitro Circus competition.
Nitro Circus will perform at the Tom Flood Centre on Saturday as part of their Regional Rampage Tour.
“I’m stoked for regional shows. I actually haven’t been on tour for eight or nine months, so it will be good to be back,” Ahumada said.
