The Bendigo branch of Uncle Bobs Club, an organisation supporting children with medical needs in Victoria, is looking for volunteers to help with a range of tasks for this Friday’s fundraiser.
They hope to find people who will tin shake at traffic lights in Bendigo on the day.
But they also need a hand with other tasks, including setting up their venue at Bendigo Bowls Club on Thursday afternoon, or in the collection room on Friday.
In 40 years of fundraising for the Good Friday Appeal, the local branch of the club has raised over $1 million.
Last financial year the club as a whole donated more than $500,000 to the Royal Children’s Hospital, more than $277,000 of which came out of the Good Friday Appeal.
Anyone who wants to help out can contact president Carol Maher on 0438 349 938 or register on the day.
