The pictures books have been especially written by the year 9/10 literature class for their grade 2 reading buddies.
With Harmony Day falling this week, the theme was promoting collaboration between the two schools and between students from diverse backgrounds.
“It is quite unique, schools are close but don’t always get together,” English co-ordinator Sharon Marchingo said.
“What I wanted my students to do was have an authentic audience and get them chatting with younger ones for ideas.
“There’s all sorts of stories to hear. We want to create some harmony and collaboration between the ages as well as the cultures.”
Ms Marchingo said the younger students loved helping with the stories.
“They have loved being involved. A couple of them said they were nervous to come to the big school but it has been a good experience,” she said.
