EAGLEHAWK’S Lake Neangar and Lake Tom Thumb were transformed into a literal explosion of colour on Saturday, as hundreds of people took to the area for a vibrant fun run.
During the Colour Ya World event, people of a wide range of ages – down to tiny toddlers in strollers – completed a five-kilometre circuit that saw them doused in colourful powders and liquids along the way.
They finished the run as walking, talking rainbows, the shirts that had been a crisp white at the beginning of the run ending up patterned with a kaleidoscope of blue, orange, purple and pink.
The run did not fail to bring smiles to the faces of participants.
There was plenty of laughter to be heard as runners passed through the purple station, clouds of amethyst powder billowing out behind them as they continued along the track.
The weather put on a good show for the event, with participants enjoying sun and clear skies.
